Netizens Lose Their Minds As AKMU x IU Is Confirmed Via An Official Video Teaser
Previously, more than two weeks ago on the 26th of July, AKMU's agency, YG Entertainment, announced that AKMU was gearing up for a comeback on the 26th of July!
AKMU's 'special album' will be the duo's first musical release since "Happening," their 2020 single which was dropped in November 2020. Ahead of this, AKMU also decidedly renewed their contract with YG Entertainment, adding more years to their future with the agency.
YG Entertainment previously announced, "AKMU is set to come back on the 26th of July and K-Pop fans are looking forward to the return of these musical geniuses, especially since they have hinted at collaborations with special artists."
Adding to this, previously, SIHWANG, a producer from YG Entertainment, posted on his Instagram stories a possible spoiler regarding a collaboration between YG Entertainment's AKMU and immensely popular soloist, IU, via a blurred photo.
IU is one of the most popular soloists in South Korea and collaboration with AKMU will surely make netizens and fans of the two artists gush in excitement. Through this, YG Entertainment's sibling group will surely cause a huge stir for their comeback.
Recently, the collaboration between the two powerhouse artists has been confirmed by a recently uploaded teaser video on AKMU's YouTube channel entitled "AKMU - '낙하 (NAKKA) (with IU)' OFFICIAL VIDEO TEASER."
Lasting for 30 seconds, the teaser spans a cityscape where it eventually zooms in on what looks like a party happening in an apartment.
The collaboration between AKMU and IU is an incredible addition to 2021's growing list of amazing musical drops. Moreover, netizens went on to notice another file that also hinted at another collaboration with Zion.T, a popular R&B singer, but this has not been confirmed yet.
