Netizens On The Fence On ‘Knowing Bros’ Cast Teasing Heechul With Recent Breakup
On the 8th of July, a handful of Korean media outlets have reported that as per an industry insider, Super Junior's Kim Heechul and TWICE's Momo have decidedly ended their relationship, going their separate ways with one another.
"From my understanding, Momo and Heechul have decidedly ended their relationship with one another. Both of them are quite busy with their own careers that they have grown apart. They have decided to end their relationship and go back to being colleagues in the K-pop industry," the K-pop insider noted.
To make the speculations official, Super Junior's Kim Heechul and TWICE's Momo have also released a statement. Label SJ and JYP Entertainment have both noted, "We've checked with the artist, and it is true that they broke up."
To further add to this, Label SJ shared, "Please understand that we cannot answer the details of it as it is the artist's private life."
Ahead of their official breakup, Super Junior's Heechul has received teasing from the cast of "Knowing Bros" and netizens and fans do not have the same reaction.
Notably, Super Junior's Heechul received teasing from the cast of JTBC's "Knowing Bros" which is quite recent after Heechul's breakup with TWICE's Momo. In the opening of the episode, the cast noticed Super Junior's Heechul's sudden change in hairstyle.
"Why do you look so pale? Changing hairstyles means there's been a change of heart. You can't be weak. Otherwise Seo Jang Hoon and Lee Sang Min have to have already fallen down," Lee Soo Geun went on to comment.
All the teasing was not negative though as another cast member of JTBC's "Knowing Bros" remarked a sweet and somewhat funny sentiment.
"You should stay strong and still get your work done. This room has more breakups than meetings," Seo Jang Hoon expressed, trying to cheer Heechul up.
Some netizens and viewers noted how the comments were hurtful and disrespectful while others were saying that it was all in good fun. Although varying in opinion, a recent breakup will surely affect people in an unpleasant way.
Hopefully, Super Junior's Heechul and TWICE's Momo are both healing.
