‘Run On’ Actress Shin Se Kyung Joins IU’s EDAM Entertainment

A source from Namoo Actors Agency confirmed on July 5 that Shin Se Kyung decided to leave the agency. "We have terminated the exclusive contract with Shin Se Kyung," Namoo Actors Agency announced.

Following the news of Shin Se Kyung leaving Namoo Actors, an industry insider shared that the 30-year-old actress signed with EDAM Entertainment.

"Shin Se Kyung has decided to sign an exclusive contract with EDAM Entertainment," a representative confirmed. The insider also announced that the agency EDAM Entertainment is wrapping up contract discussions with the actress.

After joining EDAM Entertainment, Shin Se Kyung becomes the second celebrity signed to the agency. Previously, EDAM Entertainment, which is a subsidiary of Kakao M, has only singer-actress IU under their management.

Shin Se Kyung started her career in the South Korean entertainment industry when she was eight. She starred alongside G-Dragon and other child stars in the popular children show "Ppo Ppo Ppo." As an actress, she is known for her roles in various dramas including "High Kick Through The Roof!," "High Kick! The Revenge of the Short Legged," "Fashion King," "The Girl Who Sees Scents," "Six Flying Dragons," "The Bride of Haebak," "Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me," "Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung," and "Run On."

Additionally, Shin Se Kyung has starred in a number of Korean movies including "Cinderella," " Five Senses of Eros," "Acoustic," "Hindsight," "Soar into the Sun," "Tazza: The Hidden Card," and "The Preparation." She has also hosted the Korean TV show "Olive Pocha" in 2018.

Throughout her 19-year-career, the public has seen Shin Se Kyung blossom from a cute, adorable kid and into the sophisticated woman she is today. Signing with EDAM Entertainment marks a new chapter in Shin Se Kyung's career.
