‘Oh My Venus’ Star So Ji Sub Returns To The Small Screen With New Drama

On July 5, various reports from South Korean media confirmed that MBC will be releasing a new drama. According to reports, MBC's upcoming drama will have the title "Dr. Lawyer" and is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2022.
Additionally, it was also reported that the team behind "Dr. Lawyer" has cast South Korean actor So JI Sub for the male lead role. So Ji Sub is set to play the role of genius medical surgeon Han Yi Han. He lost his position as a top surgeon after a mishap in one of his surgeries but returns stronger as a medical lawyer.
The hype surrounding the drama is high as this will be the first time that a drama will both feature medical and law fields. "Dr. Lawyer" will also be So Ji Sub's comeback project after 4 years since his 2018 drama "My Secret, Terrius."
So Ji Sub is a well-fitting actor for the role with his long list of highly-regarded dramas throughout his long fruitful career in the South Korean entertainment industry. The actor's first starring role was for the 2000 drama "Great Great." Since then, So Ji Sub has secure the main role for a long long list of dramas including "Delicious Proposal," "Law Firm," "Glass Slippers," "Thousand Years of Love," "I'm Sorry, I Love You," "Cain and Abel," "Road Number One," "The Master's Sun," "One Sunny Day," and "Oh My Venus."
Aside from his outstanding roles in South Korean dramas, So Ji Sub has also starred in some iconic Korean movies including "Rough Cut," "Always," "The Throne," "The Battleship Island," and "Be With You." So Ji Sub is also set to star in the upcoming movie "Confession."
