Kim Min Seok Is Set To Lead New Kakao TV Drama With Im Hyeon Joo

Recently, fans got to see Kim Min Seok as Choi Kyeng Jun on the Kakato TV-Netflix drama "Lovestruck in the City" but it seems as though we need not wait longer as the actor was cast in an upcoming drama. On June 21, Kim Min Seok was confirmed to be cast for the lead role on the upcoming Kakao-TV drama "Starting Today, Engine ON."
For the drama, Kim Min Seok will play the role of Cha Dae Hyun, a genius auto mechanic. The plot of Kim Min Seok's upcoming drama "Starting Today, Engine ON" will revolve around the growth of Cha Dae Hyun as he journeys through life.
Kim Min Seok's Cha Dae Hyun is skilled with cars but he doesn't know how to express his feelings especially to someone he loves. Through this drama, fans will get to witness a different side of Kim Min Seok who has proved himself to be a versatile actor after his roles in dramas such as "Descendants of the Sun," "Doctors," "Defendant," "Hello, My Twenties! 2," and "Lovestruck in the City."
Meanwhile, "Heart Signal 2" actress Im Hyeon Joo is set to star alongside Kim Min Seok. Im Hyeon Joo will play the role of the female lead, No Yu Hwa, who is the love interest of Kim Min Seok's Cha Dae Hyun.
Im Hyeon Joo's No Yu Hwa is a car service center manager who suffers from the pain of a dark past. This will be the actress's first-ever lead role since her debut. In 2019, Im Hyeon Joo starred in the drama "Wish Woosh 2" as a supporting role.
Kakao TV's "Starting Today, Engine ON" will be a four-episode drama and according to reports it is set to premiere on June 29.
