‘Mr. Queen,’ ‘True Beauty,’ ‘The Uncanny Counter,’ Here Are The 10 Most Searched K-Dramas Today
The Hallyu wave continues to conquer the world. Aside from catchy Korean Pop Music released by today's hottest acts such as BTS, BLACKPINK, and TWICE among others, K-dramas has also gained huge traction from audiences worldwide.
Thanks to platforms such as Netflix and Viu, Korean dramas have expanded globally, gaining more and more views as well as fans. Just last year, "Crash Landing On You" was a smash hit globally, catapulting Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin further to global stardom.
This year, K-drama fans were blessed with various new releases. So, let's take a look at the most searched Korean dramas as of today.
Topping the list is tvN's "Mr. Queen." This historical comedy drama follows the story of a male chef who one day finds himself in the body of a young queen from the past. Starring in this drama is Shin Hye-Sun as the Queen "Kim So-Yong" and Kim Jung-Hyun as the King Cheoljong. The finale episode for "Mr. Queen" will be aired on February 14, 2021, at 9 PM KST.
Following "Mr. Queen" on the list is the TV Chosun drama, "Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)" and the KBS weekend drama "Homemade Love Story." Meanwhile, ranking fourth and fifth, respectively, are Monday to Friday dramas, "A Man in a Veil" and "Phoenix 2020."
Placing sixth on the list is the hit drama "The Uncanny Counter," which stars former gugudan member Kim Sejeong, Jo Byung-gyu, Yoo Jun-sang, and Yeom Hye-ran. Because of the public success of "The Uncanny Counter," the production team has revealed that they are planning to renew it for season 2. Even though this drama has already aired its final episode, you can watch "The Uncanny Counter" on Netflix.
On the other hand, the recently ended drama "True Beauty" starring Cha Eun Woo, Moon Ga-young, and Hwang In-yeop ranked 9th, after "The In-Laws" and "Lovestruck in the City." Lastly, Kim Myung-soo's "Royal Secret Agent" ranked tenth.
