‘Fallout 4’ Console Commands Unsafe On PC; Bethesda Warns Users As Statement Released!
"Fallout 4" console commands can unlock different features for the player, but it is not safe on the PC, according to IGN.
The "Fallout" series has been famous for its gritty graphics and open world mechanic. It is also famous for other features which give the game series more variety compared to other video games. Other than custom mods made by the PC community, "Fallout" is famous for the console commands.
"Fallout 4" console commands are only available on the PC version of the game since it is difficult to input the commands on the console. The command console is the cheats menu of the game, giving players more features than the normal gameplay "Fallout" offers. A player's character can become immortal, have infinite bullets, jump really high and many more with the console menu.
Bethesda, the game studio behind the game series, warns PC owners of using the console commands at their own risk, according to VG247. The game studio has revealed that "Fallout 4" does not support the use of console commands on the PC version.
Pete Hines, Vice President of Marketing in Bethesda replied to a question on Twitter which was asking why it is not recommended. He answered that the cheats can "very easily mess up save games," according to Gamespot.
In addition, Hines also replied to the query on why console commands will not be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
"Nope. Use of the console is not supported or recommended on PC," replied Hines in a tweet. "That kind of thing isn't permitted on consoles anyway."
While the "Fallout 4" console commands will not be coming to the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, PC mods are expected to be available on consoles in early 2016. There is still no specific date that Bethesda has provided so fans will have to stay tuned to this. Mods for the PC version on the other hand have flourished and many players are enjoying the benefits, according to sources.
