When it comes to playing video games, mobile gaming is now the trend. It is the reason why Sony is considering bringing its PlayStation's bestseller series to smartphones.

Soon you'll be able to play your favorite PlayStation games right in your pocket. If you have a smartphone, you can play games anywhere and at any time. The Japanese company has countless extremely popular franchises to take advantage of. It includes "Horizon: Zero Dawn," "The Last of Us," and many more. Considering that mobile gaming is the largest gaming platform, players can have "Fortnite" on their smartphones.

Apparently, Sony is carrying out a rival to the service. However, while the information is still inadequate, the job ad for Head of Mobile, PlayStation Studios, SIE can be a part of the scheme.

According to the listing, the successful candidate will emphasize adapting PlayStation's most famous franchises for mobile effectively. Besides, the candidate is going to be responsible for establishing and gauging a team of mobile leaders. Additionally, they will function as the Head of this new business unit within the PlayStation Studios.

This isn't Sony's initial endeavor into mobile gaming. In 2011, Sony debuted Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, which is also known as the PlayStation phone. It's built with slideout gamepad controls. It could provide physical controls for other mobile games and a selection of PlayStation games. However, it was quite too soon and didn't create the appeal of mobile devices designed for gaming that exhibited in the previous years.

The enthusiasm of PlayStation for mobile follows the examples of other leading publishers who saw great success within the mobile market. "Pokémon Go" and "Fire Emblem Heroes" demonstrated two profitable mobile projects from Nintendo's franchises. Activision and PUBG Corp., on the other hand, have observed enormous revenues that "Call of Duty Mobile" and "PUBG Mobile" generate, respectively.
