EXO Chanyeol’s ‘The Box’ Is Going Overseas, Check Out If Your Country Is Included

Prior to his scheduled enlistment, EXO rapper Chanyeol is set to return to the silver screen with the movie "The Box." In the movie, Chanyeol will play the character of Jihoon, an aspiring singer with an incredible talent. Despite his talent, however, Jihoon can only sing with a box over his head.
Starring with Chanyeol is Jo Dal Hwan, who portrays the role of Minsoo. Jo Dal Hwan's Minsoo is a music producer who has fallen from grace after enjoying immense popularity in the past. In his journey towards pursuing music, Jihoon bumps into Minsoo, and together, they "break the box." In this movie, we'll get to hear a number of global hit songs, such as Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" in Chanyeol's voice.
After the successful online press conference on March 18, "The Box" is confirmed to hit local theaters this coming March 24. Aside from the local premiere, fans are excited after "The Box" was slated for international release.
On March 19, it was announced that EXO Chanyeol's upcoming film would be released in 11 countries, including Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, United States, Australia, and Japan.
Due to high demand from fans, Chanyeol's "The Box" will be released on April 1 in Singapore, April 7 in Indonesia, and April 8 in Malaysia. The schedule of release for the remaining countries is yet to be announced.
"The Box" is directed by Yang Jung-woong, who was the executive producer of the opening ceremony of the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympics. Meanwhile, the music director of the film is Ecobridge, who is the composer behind the success of Jung Yup's "Nothing Better" in 2008.
