Samsung To Expand Customizable Home Appliances
Amid the stay-at-home trend due to the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic, Samsung Electronics Co. announced to release more lineup of customizable home appliances that allow clients to better reflect their lifestyles as the South Korean tech giant aims to boost sales.
Samsung stressed that BESPOKE would be applied as the concept to all of its home appliance products.
The company introduced BESPOKE HOME solutions as it will consumers decorate and design their entire home space with various customizable products.
Samsung promoted BESPOKE as it will grant clients to modify their arrangements by material, color, and components to meet user favorite in-home appliance choices.
Refrigerators, air conditioners, and vacuum cleaners are a few of the mentioned 17 BESPOKE HOME products that Samsung has revealed. They will be available in the first half of the year.
Samsung added its shoe care appliance, the BESPOKE Shoe Dresser, which will be launched in May.
To better meet consumers' needs, Samsung said a lifetime warranty would be applied to its BESPOKE HOME and products released in 2021, offering free repair or replacement of digital inverter compressors and motors for life. Samsung previously provided a 10-year warranty for free repairs.
In design, Samsung said it joined hands with US paint brand Benjamin Moore to offer more color selections to consumers. Hanssem, local furniture, teamed up with Samsung for the roll-out of the customizable home appliances.
In the area of content, Samsung said it joined forces with Kakao Enterprises, CJ CheilJedang, and Coupang to offer various services related to its Internet of Things (IoT) platform SmartThings.
The South Korean appliance maker said that initial this March, the company's smart devices and home appliances would be compatible with the Kakao AI platform from Kakao Enterprise, an affiliate of Kakao Corp. that runs South Korea's most-used mobile messenger, Kakao Talk.
