Sony and From Software released a patch for "Bloodborne" today, which brings the game to version 1.07, according to Polygon.

This prepares players for the imminent release of the game's downloadable content, "The Old Hunters."

"Bloodborne" players who pass on new DLC will still see changes in the base version of the game, but will not have access to the new mini-gun.

Today's update adds The League, which is a group of Hunters that sounds parallel to a Dark Souls covenant. This update will let players compete online in the group's ranking leaderboard and assist other "Bloodborne" players online.

Access to The League is granted by visiting a new NPC Valtr, in the Forbidden Woods. The company also revealed how players will be able to access "The Old Hunters DLC."

First players must first defeat Vicar Amelia in the Cathedral Ward and examine the altar behind her and then players must return to the Hunter's Dream hub to acquire the Eye of a Blood-drunk Hunter item from a messenger, which is cited on PlayStation's official blog.

Players must then travel to Oedon Chapel in the Cathedral Ward, exit through the left door and allow themseleves to be grabbed by the Lesser Amygdala, who is just outside.

This would normally kill the player or induce frenzy but now, is a means of travel.

Lastly, the players would then be transported to the Hunter's Nightmare, which is "The Old Hunter's" starting area.

Patch adds include Madara's Whistle, an item that summons a giant snake head from the ground to attack enemies.

Included among the changes made are the Chalice Dungeons and non-root dungeons, which now have a standard glyph. This allows you to meet other players without knowing their unique glyph beforehand, reports DualShockers.

"Bloodborne: The Old Hunters" will be released on Nov. 4 for PlayStation 4. An add-on costs $19.99.
