The PlayStation 5 has finally reached India, releasing today on February 2. The price retails for Rs. 49, 900 for the disc version and Rs. 39, 990 for the digital version. Rated at a near-perfect 4.5, the PlayStation 5 has paved the way for the 9th generation of gaming since its arrival last November 12. Although the PlayStation 5 has been plagued by controversy since its release, gamers and resellers alike are still trying all methods to get their hands on the latest PlayStation.

Sony, the company behind the PlayStation, promised desperate buyers that restocks would arrive during February. Stores have even confirmed that shipments will arrive as early as this week. While sellers brace for impact from the influx of gamers scampering to buy the PlayStation 5 in their stores, a real tragedy occurred in Japan.

Last year during its launch, brawls erupted in a Walmart in Florida as the PlayStation 5 sold out, leading to an arrest of three suspects. A video even surfaced showing the ruckus that occurred. Recently, a similar incident happened in Japan.

A store recently restocked the elusive PlayStation 5, and naturally, a crowd flocked to the store to try and get their hands on the gaming system. That is where the chaos began. The crowd began to push and cram each other and the staff members of the store. As the situation heightened, police were called to the scene. Not long after that, the restock event abruptly ended. The crowd slowly dispersed, and the number of PlayStation 5 consoles that were sold that day were not released. A clip was taken off the event that transpired, showing how rowdy the crowd was. No serious injuries have been stated, and no updates have been given yet on whether or not the restock will reschedule for a different date. Hopefully, this incident will be avoided in the future.
