‘Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII’ PC Release Date Revealed; System Requirements Unveiled!
Square Enix has announced the release date of the PC version of "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII," according to Gamespot.
The "Final Fantasy XIII" trilogy was launched first on the consoles such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The trilogy follows the story of Lightning and her quest to save her little sister from harm. The trilogy, overall, got mixed reviews from praises to complaints.
In 2014, the trilogy was slowly introduced to the PC platform. "Final Fantasy XIII" was released on Oct. 2014 while "Final Fantasy XIII-2" appeared on Dec. 2014.
This time around, the finale of the series, "Lightning Returns," is coming to Steam. The game will be released on Dec. 10, 2015, according to Gematsu. The game was supposed to arrive originally in spring 2015 but was delayed. Square Enix also said that there will be no changes to the story.
The PC edition will include most of the DLCs that has been released on the consoles like costumes, shields, the Japanese voiceovers and weapons. The only exception to the DLC is the "FFVII" Aerith Costume, according to PC Gamer. Square Enix did not give any details why it was not added and also adamant that it will not be added in the future.
Players who do not have game saves from "Final Fantasy XIII" and "XIII-2" will not have to worry. The bonus items connected to those prior game titles will be provided regardless, according to Siliconera.
The system requirements for "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" are Windows XP SP2 or higher, a processor of 2GHz dual core, 1500 MB of RAM, a graphics card comparable with NIVDIA Geforce 8800GT or ATI Radeon HD 4770 with a VRAM of 512 MB and at least DirectX version 9.0c, according to sources.
In addition, the hard drive must have at least 22 GB available space and a sound card that is compatible with DirectX 9.0c. The game also runs at 60 fps and Steam Cloud must be active when playing it.
