G-Dragon Releases Paranoise V2, Sells Out In Minutes

BIGBANG leader G-Dragon's collaboration with Nike, called Paranoise 2, made its worldwide release on November 25. Just like the first version of the Peaceminusobe x Nike Air Force 1, version 2 was sold out in minutes. 

The first collaboration between G-dragon and Nike was also released around this time last year, and the same thing happened. The shoes were sold out in just a few minutes. For this collab, Allkpop reports that in China, it did not even take minutes but seconds for the shoes to be out of stock, proving just how popular the artist. He quickly trended on Weibo, gaining more than 300 million views in just half a day. 

The second version of Paranoise was not sold simultaneously across the world. Rather, it had staggered releases. Some countries had a first come first serve basis, while in some they had to sell it through lotteries or draws as there was too much demand for the shoes. The Nike website even crashed because of the volume of people going ot the site. The battle for the shoes was not just for fans, but for sneakerheads too as they saw the value of the Paranoise. 

What makes this version different is that the shoes are now white instead of black, but it still peels off the same way the first release did. Although this year, there is only one version, different from last year which had different colorways, with some exclusive only to family and friends, and another exclusive only to Korea. 

Although in the live event held before the release, G-Dragon was wearing distinct red Airforce 1s, leading some to ask whether there will be a new release in the next months. 

Meanwhile, aside from being busy with his collaboration with Nike, GD is also said to be preparing for new music releases, which will come in 2021. It was not specified whether it will be a solo release or one with BIGBANG.
