'Stranger Things' Actors Gaten Matarazzo & Caleb McLaughlin Tease About Meeting Up With EXO In Korea
Strangers Things meets K-pop. The stars of Netflix's sci-fi horror series Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin are meeting up with some K-pop artists very soon.
Matarazzo and McLaughlin have shared a video on them on Instagram accounts that they will be traveling to South Korea soon to meet their fans. But what excites many fans the most is when the Stranger Things stars revealed that they will be getting a "crash course" on everything about K-pop from a famous K-pop group.
"Next week, we'll be headed to Seoul, Korea to meet some of our amazing 'Stranger Things' fans and get a crash course on all things K-pop," Matarazzo said.
"Yes, I had an amazing time meeting NCT 127 last month. Guess who I'll be meeting next time?" McLaughlin added.
Although the two did not drop any name, many already took a guess that it could be EXO because of a couple of clues. In his caption, McLaughlin tagged the EXO's official Instagram account as well as members Suho and Baekhyun individual accounts. Additionally, the two hinted that it could be NCT 127's labelmates as they teased the K-pop group about it.
In their response video for Matarazzo and McLaughlin's clip, NCT 127 member Johnny confirmed that they are not the group that the duo will be meeting in Korea. In their post on Twitter, Johnny expressing his regrets that NCT 127 won't be in Korea for the actors' visit.
Then Mark dropped the final hint. The K-pop idol confirmed that Matarazzo and McLaughlin will be attending an EXO concert and wish them to enjoy the event.
McLaughlin met with the members of NCT 127 when he attended their concert in Atlanta, Georgia in April. He had a chance to meet the members backstage after the show.
NCT 127 is currently on their NEO CITY-The Origin world tour. The seven-member group will be performing for their fans in Bangkok, Thailand on June 21-23 before heading to Europe leg of the tour.
Meanwhile, Matarazzo and McLaughlin rose to fame for portraying Dustin and Lucas in the hit TV series Stranger Things. The two will be reprising their roles when the show returns for Season 3 on July 4.
Stranger Things Season 3 also stars Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Noah Schnapp (Will), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Sadie Sink (Max), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Joe Keery (Steve), and Dacre Montgomery (Billy). Winona Ryder will also return in the series as Joyce Byers and David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper.
Aside from acting, both Matarazzo and McLaughlin are also stage actors so music is very much in their interests. A collaboration project with EXO is something fans are looking forward to in the meeting.
