Mandy Moore is not wasting time while waiting to resume filming for her TV drama This Is Us. The singer-actress is set to head to Nepal to trek the Mt. Everest base camp.

Moore revealed her next adventure while This Is Us is in hiatus. The 35-year-old actress will join Melissa Arnot, an Eddie Bauer Alpine guide, in the trek. Moore first met Arnot last year and since then, they became friends. They also traveled together in New Zealand last month, which Moore described as a warm up to her biggest adventure yet: the Everest base camp.

On their journey to the Mt. Everest base camp, they will take nine days on the way to the camp and a couple more days on the way out. Moore expressed excitement for her upcoming adventure.

She said the trip doesn't scare her at all. Instead, it is invigorating and fulfilling for her as she pushes herself out of her comfort zone.

The "Candy" singer confessed that hiking has been part of her life for so long. Moore said she finally discovered the "inner mountain girl" in her when she made a trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro last year.

"That trip really solidified things for me. I discovered my inner mountain girl!" she told People Magazine.

Moore also revealed that he also introduced hiking to her husband, rocker Taylor Goldsmith, and he now catching up. The Dawes frontman also joined her wife and Arnot on their New Zealand trip.

Moore is not the only This Is Us cast member who is keeping themselves busy in different activities while waiting for the production of Season 4 to start. Moore on-screen husband, Milo Ventimiglia, earlier shared he is doing some production work and is gearing for "some pilots" for his production company, Divide Productions.

The actor added that he catching up with his friends and family and spending time for himself and his hobby: motorcycle. The 41-year-old actor has been chosen by Harley-Davidson to judge its Battle of the Kings which is a competition for bike builder.

Meanwhile, NBC has announced that This Is Us has been renewed for three more seasons. The multi-season renewal did not come as a surprise to many, as series co-showrunner Isaac Aptaker has previously said the plan is for the show to wrap up after three more seasons.

The jump on multiple time periods is expected to continue in the upcoming Season 4. Aside from Moore and Ventimiglia, regular cast members such as Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Chris Sullivan, and Susan Kelechi Watson will also return in This Is Us Season 4.
