BTS's ARMY Acts Surprise When 'The Voice' Drops Hint About Performance From The K-Pop Group
NBC's The Voice has hinted that BTS will drop a special announcement on Tuesday. In response, BTS fans hilariously acted surprise of the reality show's tweet.
On Monday, The Voice shared on its official social media sites a clip that teased that two of the hottest bands in the world, BTS and The Jonas Brothers, will be making an announcement on Tuesday. BTS fans, known as the ARMY, quickly flooded The Voice's Twitter thread with memes and GIFs of either the group members or some random people acting shock of the announcement.
Many fans of the Korean boy group have said they are not surprise of BTS's appearance in The Voice since many American TV shows have been trying the septet in their show. The ARMYs also noted that they already have a hunch that BTS will be performing in The Voice after the show's judge John Legend shared a photo of him and the septet at the Universal Studio lot.
It was followed by another picture of Legend along with the other judges of the reality show Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson and the Team Legend contestants. Many fans pointed out that the "All Of Me" singer is clad in the same outfit he wore in a photo with BTS.
Additionally, Levine asked fellow singer Charlie Puth during the latter's livestream about what it would be like to be with BTS. Puth is a friend of BTS and they had a special stage collaboration at the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards in Korea.
Amidst several clues BTS's appearance in The Voice, many fans have expressed excitement to the event particularly to the actual interaction between The Jonas Brothers and BTS. The two groups had their first encounter at the recent 2019 Billboard Music Award.
Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas performed a medley of their hit songs "Jealous," Cake By The Ocean," and "Sucker" at the BBMAs and BTS danced along to the tracks. At one point, Joe had a fist bump with BTS member V. Priyanka Chopra's husband expressed jealousy that his brother lands a fist bump with the biggest boy group today.
"When your brother gets a fist bump during your performance from BTS but you don't'," Nick wrote in a clip that he shared on his Instagram story along with a sad emoji.
Days after BBMAs, Nick attended the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself concert of the Map of the Soul: Persona hitmakers at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles. He also shared a clip of himself dancing along to BTS performance of "Boy With Luv" and has expressed his admiration to Jimin's "Serendipity" performance.
