Scottish Sam Heughan wouldn't let his fans be fooled by anyone. The Outlander actor has exposed another fake social media account that uses his name and his charity to scam people.

Heughan took an action against a fraudulent account so no one will fall prey to them again. The actor recently shared a screenshot of a fan account, named "heughansamofficialfanspage," and wrote "Report and block" in the caption. A fan first reported the account to Heughan after the owner of the account continue to sent her messages enticing her to join Heughan's My Peak Challenge charity.

Heughan earlier shared on his IG stories another screenshot of a fake Sam Heughan account. The account claimed to be the actor's "personal account."

The fan who reported the fraudulent account said he sent a message to whom he thought was Heughan. He later realizes that it was all a sham when it sent him a PayPal link so he can donate to My peak Challenge.

Heughan warned his fans about falling to scammers. He assured them that he will never give a PayPal link to anyone who wishes to donate to his charity.

This is not the first time Heughan becomes a victim of a fake social media account. Since he rose to fame for playing the role of Jamie Fraser in Outlander series, several fake accounts have spawned and most of them are using his name to try to scam people out of money.

Back in 2017, Sam Heughan also exposed a fake account. He also encouraged his fans to inform him whenever they encounter a fraud Sam Heughan account that is also asking for money.

The Spy Who Dumped Me actor is not the only star of Outlander who has been a victim of a similar scam. Co-star Graham McTavish  (Dougal Mackenzie) previously warned his fans who have been communicating with a fake account for months.

Meanwhile, Outlander has recently released a behind-the-scenes clip from the set of Season 5. In the video, Heughan teased that the fifth installment will center around home and family. The growing Fraser family will return to Fraser Ridge along with Jamie's godfather, Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix), as well as Fergus (César Domboy), Marsali (Lauren Lyle), and their child.

Outlander Season 5 is currently filming in Scotland. It is expected to premiere in the fall.
