NCT 127 Performs Comeback Track 'Superhuman' On 'Good Morning America'; To Kick Off North America Leg Of World Tour Next Week
The boys of NCT 127 made their first appearance on Good Morning America this week. The 10 members of the group gave the audience a taste of their upcoming album when they performed their new song "Superhuman" on the show.
NCT 127 fans, also called NCTzen, were surprised of the group's unexpected performance of upcoming single "Superhuman" as it is yet to be released. "Superhuman" is the title track of the group's upcoming mini-album, We Are Superhuman.
SM Entertainment has confirmed that NCT 127's new mini-album, We Are Superhuman, is set to drop on May 24. It will feature the title track "Superhuman" and five more new songs: "Highway to Heaven," "Fool," "Jet Lag," "Paper Plane," and "Outro: We Are 127." The preorder for the physical album will start on April 22.
Aside from "Superhuman," NCT 127 also performed their 2017 hit track "Cherry Bomb." The group showed off their sharp choreography and charisma on stage to the delight of their fans in the audience.
However, many fans missed member WinWin who failed to join the group on its recent activities including the on-going world tour due to his promotions as a member of another NCT unit, WayV. The members of WayV focus their promotions in China.
NCT 127's appearance on GMA came ahead of the kick off of the North America leg of Neo City: The Origin world tour and the group's come back next month. Taeyong, Taeil, Yuta, Jaehyun, Mark, Haechan, Johnny, Doyoung, and Jungwoo started the concert tour earlier this year.
The North American leg of Neo City: The Origin will begin on April 24 in Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The group will visit eight other cities in the United States and two in Canada. NCT 127 will also perform for their fans in Mexico and Russia.
NCT 127 is the third K-pop group to appear on GMA. BTS performed "Idol" in the show last year after the group released their Love Yourself: Answer. BLACKPINK followed the K-pop boy group and appeared on GMA in February this year.
Meanwhile, NCT 127 also released a new Japanese album, Awaken, on April 17 with "Wakey Wakey" as its lead single. Moreover, the "Simon Says" hitmakers will also be joining Halsey, Ellie Goulding, Bebe Rexha, CNCO, Ally Brooke, Bryce Vine, Fletcher, and AJ Mitchell at the Summer Kick Off Concert in San Diego on May 31.
