The name of Crazy Rich Asians actor Henry Golding has been added to the long list of names of possible next James Bond. Netizens have thrown his name on the list after Golding cover of GQ Magazine came out this week.

The British Malaysian actor, model, and TV host broke another barrier as he has been chosen as one of GQ's 2018 Men (and Woman) Of The Year. The magazine released four covers for the special edition and one of which features Golding. Joining him are Black Panther actor Michael B. Jordan, The Wolf of Wall Street star Jonah Hill, and tennis superstar Serena Williams.

Golding is the first Asian to grace the magazine's cover with the recognition as one of the Man of the Year. In the magazine's interview, titled "Henry the First," Golding talked about the success of his first movie Crazy Rich Asians and his plans in the future. He is described in a snippet for the special cover as a "must-hire new actor."

"Beyond its success - and what a success it was - it minted Henry Golding as one of the industry's must-hire new actors, and for good reason: He's handsome, he's suave, and that accent. A nation swooned, and GQ did too," the magazine wrote.

Golding, clad in colorful suits on the cover and on inside photos, looks like a true British agent with a retro twist. In some of the snaps, the actor suave look is comparable to James Bond in the 70s.

"A very Space-Age @henrygolding on the cover of @GQMagazine, making a strong case to be our first Asian James Bond. #GQMOTY " a fan commented on Golding's cover.

"Dear Santa, for Christmas I'd like Henry Golding as the next James Bond," another wrote.

Several names have been speculated to replace Daniel Craig as British Agent James Bond. They are Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, Tom Hardy, James Norton, Aidan Turner, and Outlander actor Sam Heughan.

But the latest of which is Game Of Thrones alum Richard Madden. James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli was reportedly impressed of Madden's performance as war-veteran Police Sergeant David Budd in the BBC One's drama/thriller series, Bodyguard. A British publication reported that the actor left a powerful impression on Broccoli, making him a "serious" candidate to take the 007 role.

So far, the James Bond bosses haven't released any information about the future of the franchise. Reports indicate that the next Bond movie is not expected to begin filming until the release of Craig's last 007 movie on February 14, 2020.
