'Grey's Anatomy' Newcomer Hot Doctor Chris Carmack Marries Longtime Girlfriend
Grey's Anatomy's newest heartthrob Chris Carmack has tied the knot with longtime fiancée Erin Slaver. Though it may upset some female fans of the show, many have expressed that they are happy for the actor.
Carmack and Slaver tied the knot over the weekend. It was witnessed by their family and close friends including Carmack's Narshville co-star Sam Palladio and his girlfriend, The Voice alum singer Cassadee Pope. Carmack played Will Lexington on Nashville from 2013 to 2018.
Carmack shared some of their wedding photos on Instagram after they exchange "I do" in a solemn ceremony by the lake. But how did the two met?
Before Carmack's stint in Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Atticus Lincoln, he played the role of gay country musician Will Lexington on TV series Nashville. The 37-year-old actor and Slaver met on the set of Nashville.
Slaver was seen in Seasons 1 and 2 of the TV series. She appeared in the show as the one who was playing the violin in a band with Palladio, who portrayed the role of Gunnar Scott. Slaver also appeared on the show as one of the backup singers of country superstar Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere).
Apparently, Carmack was impressed by her performance, and they became friends. They started dating a year later. The actor proposed to her in March 2016 at a rooftop of a hotel in New York. Carmack told People that he even hired a gypsy jazz quartet to play some of their favorite songs. The couple welcomed their first child on Aug. 30, 2016.
According to her website, Slaver is a vocalist, songwriter, violinist, and an actress. She works as concertmaster for 3 years with the Stony Brook University Orchestra. Slaver recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon with her band JD & The Straight Shot in which she played the violin.
Meanwhile, Carmack joined the cast of Grey's Anatomy Season 15 a few months ago. He plays the role of Dr. Lincoln, who is also known as the Orthro God. He has been flirting with some of the attending surgeons since he arrived in Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital.
In the upcoming Episode 5 of Grey's Anatomy Season 15, it is expected that Dr. Lincoln's real relationship with newly-wed Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington) will be revealed. Are they ex-lovers? It can be recalled that in the previous episode, the two excitedly greeted each other when they path crossed at the hospital.
Elsewhere, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) will reach out to Teddy (Kim Raver) after finding out that she is pregnant with Owen's (Kevin McKidd) baby. Maggie (Maggie Pierce) told Mer about Teddy's pregnancy in the previous episode. Grey's Anatomy Season 15 airs Thursday at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
