'Grey's Anatomy' Season 15 Episode 4 To Reveal Meredith's New Love Interest & He Is Someone Very Familiar
Meredith's new love interest will be revealed in the upcoming Grey's Anatomy Season 15 and he is someone very familiar with TV series' viewers. Fans are already excited about where Mer's new love story with him will lead.
It turns out Chris Carmack and Allan Landi are not the only newcomers in this season of the ABC medical drama. How I Met Your Mother alum Josh Radnor has joined the cast of Grey's as Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) new love interest.
In a sneak peek for Episode 4 shared by People Magazine, Meredith's colleagues notice that she is not wearing her white coat and she is all dressed up. Her sister-in-law, Amelia (Caterina Scorsone), asks if she is going to a funeral while Alex (Justin Chambers) said she looks weird.
It's her sister Maggie (Kelly McCreary) who guessed correctly that Meredith is going out on a date. When Maggie asks Mer who is the lucky guy, she admitted that she hasn't met him yet.
In another teaser, Mer is also seen in what seems to be a restaurant, presumably where she and her date will have lunch. However, the clip only showed a glimpse of the back of the head of Mer's mysterious blind date.
People magazine reported that it is no other than Josh Radnor, who famously played the role of Ted Mosby in the hit comedy series How I Met Your Mother. The show ran for nine seasons before it wrapped up in 2014. Radnor recently starred in NBC's Rise earlier this year before the show was canceled after one season.
Radnor's character remains under wrap. ABC hasn't given any information about the role that Radnor will be playing except that he will be Meredith's new love interest and he could portray be a recurring role. Showrunner Krista Vernoff earlier hinted that Meredith will be going on multiple dates this season.
"What we're doing that's different than what we've seen is, she's gotta go on dates. Like in real life, love doesn't always land in your lap with the first date. And so, we're leaning into that a little bit," Vernoff told TV Guide.
Grey's Anatomy Season 5 Episode 4 will be a two-hour crossover event with Station 19. Grey's airs at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday on ABC.
