Ahn Hyo Seop is one of the most in-demand Korean actors today. He receives an offer every so often. Unfortunately, he can't accept all. The latest offer that he turned down is for the tvN-Netflix drama Love Alarm.

A couple of weeks ago, Ahn's agency StarHaus Entertainment confirmed that the actor had received an offer to play the lead male character in Love Alarm. The series is a TV adaptation of a popular webtoon of the same name.

However, the 23-year-old actor decided to turn down the offer, as per Soompi's report. It is assumed that he declined a role in a Netflix series as he is still busy filming another Korean series, Thirty But Seventeen. Reports indicate that the production of Love Alarm is expected to start anytime and it is scheduled to air in the second half of 2018 through tvN and Netflix.

The filming for Thirty But Seventeen, on the other hand, is still ongoing. It is expected wrap up by the end of September as the series' finale will be on October 2. The production of the SBS romance comedy airs every Mondays and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST on SBS.

Ahn played the role of Chan Yoo in Thirty But Seventeen. He is a 19-year-old student who is also the captain of his school's rowing team. He develops a romantic feeling to a 30-year-old woman to whom his uncle is also in love with.

Love Alarm is also a romance TV series. It tells the story of an unknown developer who releases an app that notifies the user if someone within 10 meters has romantic feelings for them. The new technology will greatly disrupt the society, including the lives of the series main characters.

So far, Radio Romance Kim So Hyun is the only cast member that is confirmed to star in the series. She will play the role of Jojo, who lost her parents at a young age and now lives with her aunt. Fight My Way production director Lee Na Jeong is set to direct the new K-drama.

Love Alarm is not the only webtoon-based TV series that Ahn Hyo Seop turned down this year. The actor was supposed to star in JTBC's drama Clean with Passion For Now as a young and handsome CEO of a cleaning company.

However, the production of the show was put on hold after Kim Yoo Jung took a hiatus because of health concern. Due to the delay, Ahn withdrew from the show as the production of Clean with Passion For Now will have a conflict with his schedule once it starts filming. Ahn was replaced by Doctors actor Yoon Kyun Sang.
