Lee Min Ho 2018: Suzy Bae's Ex Beats Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo and BTS; Psy Remains Undefeated
The K-wave is, undeniably, increasing its reach each passing day. A proof to this is the fact that several South Korean personalities have been making noise in various parts of the world. Earlier this month, the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) released the list of the hottest Hallyu stars to date, which include Lee Min Ho.
For starters, Lee Min Ho was first noticed after his exemplary performance as Gu Jun Pyo in the 2009 hit television series titled Boys over Flowers. The former boyfriend of Suzy Bae starred in the show alongside Kim So Eun, Kim Joon, Kim Bum, Kim Hyun Joong, and Ku Hye Sun. The series was based on Yoko Kamio manga series called Hana Yori Dango.
The role of Lee Min Ho in Boys over Flowers won him a Best New Actor award at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. The ex-lover of Suzy Bae also appeared on Legend of the Blue Sea (2016) along with actress Jun Ji Hyun, The Heirs (2013) along with Park Shin Hye, and City Hunter (2011). The 31-year-old also starred in the Bounty Hunters (2016) and Gangnam Blues (2015) movies.
Recently, the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange listed Lee Min Ho as the second hottest Hallyu star at present time. The former beau of Suzy Bae beat Descendants of the Sun lead stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, who took the third and fourth spots. Billboard chart-topping K-pop group BTS followed the Song-Song couple in the first place.
Lee Min Ho, however, failed to beat Psy, who rose to fame after the success of the 2012 hit track titled "Gangnam Style." Korea Times reported that Suzy Bae's ex-partner is popular in the Middle East. Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are popular in China while BTS in widely known in the United States.
At the moment, Lee Min Ho is serving as a public service officer at Suseo Social Welfare Center in Seoul City, South Korea. He completed his military training in Nonsan, South Chungcheong province in March 2018. The ex-boyfriend of Suzy Bae is set to be discharged in May 2019.
While there are rumors claiming that the South Korean actor will be reunited with Park Shin Hye in The Heirs 2, it is important to note that nothing is confirmed as of yet. Thus, these speculations should be taken lightly until everything is proven true and correct. Stay tuned for the latest news and updates about Lee Min Ho!
