Park Bom Sparks Outrage After Saying '2NE1 Forever' Following Her 2018 Comeback Plans

On her social media accounts, Park Bom has been expressing her interest in returning as a singer and re-living her music career. In fact, in a recent post on Instagram, the 34-year-old star showed love for her former band, 2NE1, but it seemed that fans didn't like it.

The photo in question showed Park Bom making 2NE1's iconic hand gesture. "2ne1 forever," she captioned the snap. Although some fans sympathized with the South Korean singer, others blamed her for the group's disbandment, per Koreaboo.

"You're the one that ruined 2NE1. If it wasn't for your scandal, this wouldn't have happened[sic]," one fan said. Another one added that it was kind of ironic that Park Bom said "2NE1 forever" when she was the reason for the group's breakup. "You broke up 2NE1 and now you get all emotional."

Some of the netizens even brought up Park Bom's involvement in drugs and plastic surgery. One fan said that the former 2NE1 member used to be pretty before she went under the knife. Another one accused her of being a drug addict, while there was one who advised her to reflect and live diligently after committing a big mistake.

Meanwhile, Park Bom revealed her interest in returning to the business in an earlier post on Instagram. "I want to sing. I'll bring good music for you to listen soon," she said. The former 2NE1 member even teased that she is now preparing for her return. "You've waited a long time for this, right?" she continued to say.

She also said that she misses all of her fans and hopes that they are also preparing for her return. Park Bom then assured everyone that she will make them happy.

According to Soompi, this is the first time that Park Bom said something about her return following her interview with Sports Kyunghyang. The former 2NE1 member made a statement after MBC's investigative journalism program, PD Notebook, brought up the drug issue involving her. Allegedly, the performer brought amphetamines to Korea.

To recall, Park Bom was introduced as a group member of the popular South Korean band, 2NE1. The all-girl group got disbanded in 2016, and that led her to leave YG Entertainment.
