Kim Go Eun Chooses Park Jung Min Over Gong Yoo, Park Bo Gum & Park Hae Jin
Kim Go Eun is just one of the South Korean actresses who was able to work alongside some of the said country's talented and most sought-after actors. Recently, the Goblin actress shared her thoughts about her former male co-stars, namely Park Jung Min, Park Hae Jin, Park Bo Gum, and Gong Yoo.
The Sunset in My Hometown actress gave a candid interview that revealed who among her former male co-stars she considers as a perfect candidate to become a friend's potential date. Featured in the June 29 episode of Entertainment Weekly, Kim Go Eun chose Park Jung Min over her Goblin, China Town, and Cheese in the Trap co-stars Gong Yoo, Park Bo Gum, and Park Hae Jin, respectively.
Describing Gong Yoo, Park Bo Gum, and Park Hae Jin as "great" men, Kim Go Eun explained that she opted for Park Jung Min given his attitude. The Goblin actress added that the said actor is the "real deal" and a good person to be with.
Kim Go Eun discovered Park Jung Min's kind behavior while working with the actor in the movie Sunset in My Hometown. In the said film, the two celebrities played high-school classmates who met a decade after their graduation as they continue living their respective lives in a countryside setting.
Park Jung Min plays the role of Hak Soo, an aspiring rapper in Seoul who returned to his childhood home after receiving a phone call from his family. Kim Go Eun portrays Seon Mi who became an employee in a rural public office.
For the role of Seon Mi, Kim Go Eun even gained several pounds to portray a chubby country girl. In an interview with Yonhap News, the actress revealed that she was happy gaining weight for her role given her love for eating. However, she eventually had to pay the price and went on a two-month diet to regain her slim figure after completing filming activities for Sunset in My Hometown.
The said film also marked the actress' return to the limelight after a year-long break. Kim Go Eun was last seen in the tvN series Goblin where she portrayed Eun Tak, the destined bride to Gong Yoo's titular character.
Goblin aired from early December 2016 until late-January 2017 on tvN. Meanwhile, Kim Go Eun and Park Jun Ming's new movie Sunset in My Hometown premiered in South Korea on July 4.
