‘Star Wars Battlefront’ Sequels Confirmed? Amy Hennig Working On Another Game!
"Star Wars Battlefront" will have sequels which are all planned by the game publisher, according to Gamespot.
A few months ago, the game was tried and tested in its beta stages for the new generation consoles. PS4 had the better performance compared to its competitor, the Xbox One. The three versions of the game were also announced which were the standard, ultimate edition and the deluxe edition. The DLCs and season pass were also announced too later on.
"Battlefront" might be getting a sequel or multiple sequels in the future, according to sources. EA CFO Blake Jorgensen explained why there might be multiple "Battlefront" games in the future and its relation to EA's 10 year licensing deal with "Star Wars" owner Disney.
"We struck a licensing deal with Disney a few years back that's almost ten years in length," according to Jorgensen. "The game that comes out tomorrow, Star Wars Battlefront, is a traditional first-person style shooter game."
"Our goal is to make future Battlefront games as well as other style games around the Star Wars franchise, both on mobile as well as console and PC," continued Jorgensen. "It's a huge opportunity for us."
Fans of the "Star Wars" franchise can expect mobile games too in the future, according to Tech Radar. The game website warns fans that there might be hidden in-app purchases for the mobile games in the future.
Aside from the "Star Wars Battlefront" sequels news, there is another "Star Wars" game being planned. Amy Hennig, Naughty Dog's former writer, is working with Visceral Games in making a third-person "Star Wars" game which has the gameplay elements of "Uncharted," according to PC Gamer. The gaming website speculates that there might be more "Star Wars" games to expect in the next eight years to come.
