Dylan O'Brien 2018: 'Teen Wolf' Star Pokes Fun At His Own Unemployment In Hilarious New YouTube Video [WATCH]
The YouTube channel that started it all is finally back! Dylan O'Brien has uploaded a new video on YouTube, and it looks like the Teen Wolf star is looking for a new job. But will he actually get a role in the highly anticipated Disney sequel Frozen 2? The odds don't appear to be in the Maze Runner actor's favor.
Fans are aware that Dylan O'Brien started out by posting funny videos on his own YouTube channel. From there, he landed the role of Stiles Stilinski in Teen Wolf, which made him a major star. O'Brien has previously stated that he lost the password to his YouTube account which made it impossible to post new material. Luckily, the American Assassin may have figured it out with the debut of his hilarious new mockumentary.
Life of a Hollywood Actor is a short mockumentary which welcomes viewers to "dive into the world of a Hollywood actor with a REAL LIFE Hollywood actor… who is currently out of work." The video opens with Dylan O'Brien driving a car with a "film student" and optimistically stating that he has been very busy although the Teen Wolf star has not had a project for more than nine months. O'Brien says he has been "hustling" but there is footage of him lazily cleaning out his pool while smoking a cigarette.
It was later revealed that Dylan O'Brien had been invited to audition for Frozen 2. The Maze Runner star enthusiastically practices Queen Elsa's song in his underwear only to be turned away from the Disney lot. O'Brien calls his manager who informs him "it was a mistake" and that producers think he doesn't "have the right face" for the role.
Fans who are concerned that Dylan O'Brien is still jobless can rest assured that the mockumentary was shot back in April. It was announced in May that the Teen Wolf star had been cast in The Bayou alongside veteran actor Gary Oldman. In addition to that, he will appear in a mystery thriller titled The Education of Fredrick Fitzell. In the meantime, enjoy some O'Brien time in the video below.
