Park Seo Joon, Park Min Young's Romantic Kiss Delights Viewers, ‘What's Wrong With Secretary Kim' Enjoys Boost In Ratings

The long-awaited kiss between beloved characters finally happened in the latest episode of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim. The romantic scene between Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young even helped to boost the tvN drama's ratings to a higher level.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim recently achieved a new milestone with viewership shares at a record high. The latest episode of the Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young drama that aired on June 28 posted average nationwide ratings of 8.12 percent, according to Nielsen Korea. Viewership shares for the said episode even rose to peak ratings of 10.6 percent. In the Seoul metropolitan area, the drama registered ratings of 9.33 percent.

The said viewership ratings are higher than the drama's previous episode's numbers by 0.84 and 1.13 percentage points. What's Wrong with Secretary Kim Episode 7 reached viewership shares of 7.28 percent and 8.20 percent across the South Korean nation and in Seoul, respectively.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim Episode 8 also achieved impressive viewership numbers among its target audience of viewers aged 20 to 40 years old. Of the said target audience group, the Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young drama registered viewership shares of 5.7 percent. At its highest, the said episode posted peak ratings of 6.9 percent.

The boost in ratings can be attributed to the recent development in a beloved duo's relationship. Young Joon and Mi So, portrayed by Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young respectively, officially became a couple after the latter confessed her feelings to Young Joon. The couple even marked their new dating status with a romantic kiss.

Meanwhile, lucky fans might soon enjoy a sweet surprise from the drama's lead stars. In an earlier interview, Park Seo Joon promised to gift a group of office workers with a coffee treat if ratings for What's Wrong with Secretary Kim will reach 10 percent. Apart from the actor, Park Min Young and Lee Tae Hwan will also participate in the said activity with the former assigned to toast-making duty and the latter serving the coffee to lucky fans.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim airs every Wednesday and Thursday on tvN. The drama premiered on June 6 and is expected to end its 16-episode run on July 26.
