It looks like Song Hye Kyo is ready for a major comeback. The Descendants of the Sun actress has certainly been laying low since her wedding to Song Joong Ki. However, there is a possibility that Hye Kyo is already preparing for her first big project since she got married. Interestingly, the Full House star is being careful about taking a new job this year.
Although she hasn't worked on a film or a TV series yet, Song Hye Kyo has done some endorsements this year. The Descendants of the Sun actress has previously shared pictures from the new Icis 8.0 commercial she worked on in May. But is there any chance that Song Joong Ki's wife will be working with his long-time pal Park Bo Gum in a new drama?
It has been revealed that Song Hye Kyo is currently in negotiations to appear in a new drama tentatively titled Boyfriend. The show is also courting Love in the Moonlight star Park Bo Gum to play the leading man. The collaboration between the two is certainly a welcome one since they are already good friends through Song Joong Ki.
So what are the chances that Song Hye Kyo's first major post-hiatus project will be the Park Bo Gum drama? It has not yet been confirmed if Song Joong Ki's wife has accepted the role of Cha Soo Hyun. In addition to that, there are speculations that the Descendants of the Sun actress is being cautious about taking certain roles now that she is a married woman.
Some have pointed out that the 36-year-old Song Hye Kyo is decidedly much older than the 25-year-old Park Bo Gum and the age gap between the actors might be a major factor on whether the Full House actress will take the role. Nevertheless, fans are confident that her biological age will not affect the way Song Joong Ki's wife will perform in the drama.
