'Vikings' Season 5 Episode 11 Spoilers: Lagertha Might See Ragnar Lothbrok Before Her Death, Travis Fimmel Possibly Reprising Role Alongside Katheryn Winnick
There is little doubt that the death of Ragnar Lothbrok was one of the most devastating events in Vikings. After all, the History series had started out as the story of the young farmer who eventually became the most feared Nordic leader that England has encountered. But is it possible that viewers haven't seen the last of Travis Fimmel's character just yet? There are speculations that Ragnar will return in Vikings Season 5 Episode 11 for a tearful reunion with his beloved ex-wife Lagertha.
They might not have been together in the end, but Ragnar Lothbrok and Lagertha were the perfect Viking couple. Katheryn Winnick's former shieldmaiden proved to be an excellent partner to the King of Kattegat before she decided to leave him when he took the Princess Aslaug as his second wife. Nevertheless, Lagertha continued to love Ragnar even though she had taken on at least two husbands since their divorce. Interestingly, there is a considerable possibility that Travis Fimmel's character will be the last person Lagertha will see before her expected death in Vikings Season 5 Episode 11.
Lagertha has already dealt with Ragnar Lothbrok's death twice in her lifetime. In the Vikings Season 3 finale, his ex-wife had knelt beside Ragnar's coffin and promised they would meet again in Valhalla although it was later revealed that the King of Kattegat had faked his death. When he finally met his fate in the Season 4 episode "All His Angels," Ragnar appeared to a tearful Lagertha who admitted that she knew he would come for her. The new Queen of Kattegat urged Ragnar's ghost to continue haunting her, but he suddenly disappeared. Will Ragnar return to bring Lagertha to Valhalla in Vikings Season 5 Episode 11?
The return of Ragnar Lothbrok is undoubtedly a welcome one for fans who have been hoping that Travis Fimmel will miraculously show up in the series. There are speculations that Ragnar will visit Lagertha when her time finally comes and will be the one to welcome her to Valhalla. However, the reunion between Fimmel and Katheryn Winnick might not happen immediately in Vikings Season 5 Episode 11. It is possible that the Queen of Kattegat will continue to fight and survive until the last few episodes of Vikings Season 5B.
