BTS, Zedd Collaboration: RM Says ‘It’s Happening’; Is Shawn Mendes Next?

BTS is not only dominating the K-pop world, but the seven-member boy group is also slowly taking over Hollywood. In fact, it is now confirmed that Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook will be collaborating with Zedd. Now, the question in everyone’s minds is when will it happen and who are they collaborating with next?

The possibility of a BTS and Zedd collaboration all started when the 28-year-old Russian-German record producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter tweeted the South Korean boy band back in November 2017 that they should work together, saying, “hi guys. I hear u wanna collaborate with me. Let’s do it.” A few hours later, BTS replied to the tweet and said, “let's do it !!”

Now, leader RM (Kim Nam-joon) confirmed that the BTS and Zedd collaboration is definitely happening. Before heading inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, some reporters caught up with Jin (Kim Seok-jin), Suga (Min Yoon-gi), J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok), RM, Jimin (Park Ji-min), V (Kim Tae-hyung), and Jungkook (Jeon Jung-kook) to ask them a couple of questions.

BTS was then asked if they’re going to have upcoming collaborations with overseas artists. One particular question that got fans excited is when the boys were asked if the BTS and Zedd collaboration will be happening. RM confirmed the speculations but noted that they cannot reveal some details as of yet.

"I cannot disclose too much about it, but we've been working with Zedd and discussing,” RM told 103.7 Kiss FM. “I just cannot speak too much on the matter but... it's happening, anyway.”

As for the possibility of a BTS and Shawn Mendes collaboration, it might not happen anytime soon as the boys are still trying to process the moment when they met the 19-year-old Canadian singer and songwriter in person. The Big Hit Entertainment boy group was starstruck and said that Hailey Baldwin’s boyfriend was "too handsome for us and too tall for us."

There is still no official update regarding the BTS and Zedd collaboration. For now, fans will just have to wait until Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook get the go-signal as they are known for sharing everything with their fans on social media.
