BTS Update: 'Fake Love' Breaks Multiple Records; Certified Perfect All-Kill

BTS has smashed multiple records and scored a perfect all-kill with their single "Fake Love." The latest achievement of Bangtan Boys was recorded even before they debut the song at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night.

"Fake Love" achieved all-kill record as it hit No. 1 spot across all significant Korean real-time charts at the same time. All-kill is the term used when a song peaked on top of real-time charts of every major music sites.

BTS's new album Love Yourself: Tear also topped the iTunes Top Albums charts in 65 different regions including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Brazil. On the other hand, the album's lead track "Fake Love" peaked at No. 1 on iTunes across 52 regions, Soompi reported.

BTS performed "Fake Love" at the BMAs. The band's Army has once again proven their strength after the K-pop group took home a back-to-back Top Social Artist award win at the BMAs. "Fake Love" is the first single released by BTS from its latest studio album Love Yourself: Tear.

Moreover, the "Fake Love" music video has earned a whopping 35.9 million hits in its first day, making it the biggest 24-hour debut on YouTube this year. In just an hour after "Fake Love" dropped on May 18, it racked 4.8 million views. As of writing, the video has reached 71 million views and continues to dominate the video sharing site's list of trending songs.

BTS's "Fake Love" is currently in third place for the 24-hour debut of all time. Taylor Swift still holds the all-time best record for her "Look What You Made Me Do" song with 43.2 million. K-pop artist PSY's "Gentleman" is at the second spot with 36 million views. BTS's other hit song "DNA" is still in the Top 10. Its MV remains in the ninth place with 22.3 million. Daddy Yankee, RedOne, French Montana and Dinah Jane - ("Boom Boom") - 24.1 million; 7. Miley Cyrus ("Wrecking Ball") - 22.6 million; 8. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee ("Despacito (Remix Audio) ft. Justin Bieber) - 22.4 million; 9. BTS ("DNA") - 22.3 million; and 10. Major Lazer ("Sua Cara (feat. Anitta and Pabllo Vittar)") - 20.2 million.

Additionally, the BTS's latest single also set a new record for most likes in a single day in YouTube history. According to Billboard, "Fake Love" garnered 3.9 million likes on May 18. "Fake Love" surpassed the record of Adele's "Hello" and "Despacito (Remix)" by Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi.

Meanwhile, the septet's sixth studio album also recorded a massive success in pre-orders. The pre-order became available a month before the official release on the album. In just six days, Love Yourself: Tear sold 1.44 million copies in South Korea alone. This makes BTS the first K-pop group who exceeded one million pre-orders with multiple albums.
