Following the terrorist attacks that happened in Paris over the weekend, Candaian rock band Foo Fighters cancels its European tour as reported by Rolling Stone.

Foo Fighters began their European tour on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Carisport in Cesena, Italy. The band also performed in UK, Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Austria as part of their "Sonic Highways World Tour," which started on December 2014 in South Africa to promote their 8th studio album which goes with the same titles.

They also performed at key cities in US and South America, Oceania and Asia, making 2015 a very productive year for the 21-year-old band.

However, the series of terrorist attacks which happened during the concert of another rock band, Eagles of Death Metal, in Paris on Saturday, Nov. 13 have prompted Foo Fighters to cancel their European tour. They were supposed to play in Paris today, Nov. 16 at the Bercy Arena and at Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon on the next day. They also cancelled their show in Barcelona which is scheduled on Nov. 19.

Turns out, the band is not the only rock act to cancel their Paris concerts following the attacks. Rock legend U2 have postponed their scheduled performance at Bercy Arena in Paris which is supposed to be filmed for an upcoming HBO special feature. Other acts such as Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch, metal icons Motorhead and most especially Eagles of Death Metal have cancelled their shows as well as reported by Loudwire.

Foo Fighters have since issued a statement regarding the cancellation of their next shows. The band says: "In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can't continue right now."

They also added: "There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one."
