Norman Reedus said that the "Silent Hills" game "needs to happen," according to ComicBook.com.

A while back, a "Silent Hills" playable teaser was launched on PlayStation 4 and it was titled as "P.T." Many PlayStation 4 owners got hooked with the playable teaser and after a while it was revealed that it was connected to an upcoming project by Hideo Kojima and horror director Guillermo del Toro.

The main star was supposed to be Norman Reedus, the actor who starred in "The Walking Dead." However, after a few months it was announced that the project was canceled.

Reedus was collaborating with the two directors along with horror manga legend Junji Ito to make the best team for the creation of the game, according to Game Rant. The collaboration was also the reason why the gamers were so hype about the game.

"I'm super bummed that that happened back in Japan," Reedus said to IGN with regard to the game's cancelation. "But I have faith. I have faith that we, the three of us, can do something else."

Reedus has a lot of respect for Kojima and del Toro that he calls them "geniuses," according to GameSpot.

"There were so many ideas and cool future happenings that were thrown around," said Reedus. "I just can't see us not picking this up somewhere."

Reedus has not given up with the project. He has faith that they will make something through. He said it is like destiny and it needs to happen.

"Hopefully they'll come to some sort of agreement and that happens, or we do something very similar that's different," said Reedus.

Kojima and del Toro have spoken about collaborating again in the future, but the chances of reviving the "Silent Hills" game is still vague.
