'Dragon Ball Super' Movie Theories & Spoilers: New Details Revealed The Connection Of Saiyan's Past To Goku's Present
As the Tournament of Power ended, fans are now looking forward to the coming of the Dragon Ball Super movie. As the film is said to pave the way to the anime series' new arc, newly revealed details teased how big the upcoming movie is.
In a tweet by Todd Blankenship, it revealed Dragon Ball Super movie will carry a "multilayered story." The information was from the Dragon Room chief Akio Iyoku. The film, too, will be set in the past and present with multiple settings.
The Dragon Ball franchise creator Akira Toriyama was the one who provided Dragon Ball Super movie's story. It has 20 sheets of designs that include characters, machines, and one new planet. Iyoku continued to say they started to pitch different storylines to the 63-year-old manga artist, but to no avail. Hence, Toriyama started to create a new story of his own for the film.
Akira Toriyama decided to make a new story about the Saiyans for Dragon Ball Super movie. The first narrative was proposed in May 2017. However, they felt it was too short. They later expanded it, but it became too long this time. So, Toei Animation is now doing its best to pull it all together. He also picked Shintani as the movie's new character designer that fits all his standards in creating new roles.

According to another tweet by Goveta XV from next month's V-Jump magazine, Dragon Ball Super movie's multiple settings will lead to the story's progress. It also revealed that fans are about to see "multiple stage changes" in the film. It even confirmed that the film's narrative will follow not only one path but more.
Comicbook reported these new details about the Dragon Ball Super movie just proved the earlier teasers heard about the film. To recall, it was first revealed the movie is going to feature the history of Universe 7's homeworld, the planet Sadala. It was also said it would tackle the first Super Saiyan God's story and Freeza's past with the Saiyans that ultimately led to his great competition with Goku.
With all that has been said, it looks like Dragon Ball Super movie is expected to connect the Saiyan's past to Goku's present and his abilities to become the most powerful fighter in the universe. To recall, he managed to have that divine power by mastering the Ultra Instinct power-ups.
