The "Fire Emblem: Fates" collector's edition has been announced during the Nintendo presentation, according to IGN.

A few months ago, the new "Fire Emblem" game was announced and it was to be launched in Japan earlier than the Western version. It had a different name which was "Fire Emblem" and it was launched on June 25, 2015. The western version of the game was then announced to be getting a 2016 release date.

"Fates" will have two versions which are "Conquest" and "Birthright," according to Techno Buffalo. These versions will be sold separately with their own unique package design. There is also a third path of the game which is called "Revelations" and will be available for owners who either own one of the versions or both. This DLC will have a price tag of $20.

The new iteration of "Fire Emblem" will be available in different forms which includes two $40 packages, according to Gamespot. A collector's edition of the game will be available in retail which will have a price tag of $80. This collector's edition will have all versions of the game. This edition will also have other freebies like an artbook and a 3DS XL carrying pouch with a "Fire Emblem" design.

In addition, players can only choose one side in the story of the game called the Hoshido or the Noir. After choosing a side, the player can't play the other campaign, but it can be purchased via the Nintendo 3DS eShop for $20.

"Fire Emblem: Fates" will have more maps coming in the future as DLC, announced Nintendo. The first map DLC will be free and the other six maps can be purchased individually. A gamer can also purchase all of the maps as a map pack bundle, according to sources.
