'Dragon Ball Legends' Release Date, News & Update: Three New Original Characters By Akira Toriyama Revealed
Dragon Ball Super has come to an end, but the franchise hasn't. In fact, there will be a new game coming, titled Dragon Ball Legends, which will be bringing back three new original characters. This includes a mysterious new swordsman who is set to be introduced.
In a tweet, these three new characters coming to Dragon Ball Legends are said to be by the Dragon Ball franchise creator himself—Akira Toriyama. The first photo showed Shallot. He is said to be the hero of the game's story. He is a primitive Saiyajin from Universe 7's Planet Sadara, which colonized his kinds before they moved to planet Vegeta. Hence, he is from a distant past brought to the present.
In Dragon Ball Legends, Shallot will meet Goku following a strange "space-time distortion" that affected all the epochs. He is carrying a weapon similar to the armor Universe 6's Saiyajines have. However, as he has amnesia, he can't remember anything but his name. But, never belittle him with his condition as he is an aggressive, short-tempered Saiyan. His character is going to be played by the voice actor Kenji Akabame.

The second photo introduces the coming of Zahha in Dragon Ball Legends. He is described to be a magic swordsman brought by "space-time confusion" and who has mastery of magic. He is said to be quiet and thoughtful but with an icy behavior. He would be playing an important help to the game's heroes.
Little is known about his character, but according to reports, he is also from a distant past. However, he looks more intriguing among the three characters as he is donning a new and different kind of design. Zahha will be voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu in Dragon Ball Legends.
The last one that will be introduced in Dragon Ball Legends is the Hooded Man. Just like Zahha, he is a mysterious young guy who is wearing hooded dark outfit. However, it has not yet been revealed whether or not he will be the game's villain as he is "wreaking havoc across the lands." He is said to be holding a weapon similar to that of Shallot, and they actually look alike. He will be voiced by Kenji Nojima.
According to Geek, the introduction of the three new characters coming to Dragon Ball Legends gives a "new dimension" to the Dragon Ball franchise. The latest game in the anime series is still in development for iOS and Android devices and might be released in the summer.
