Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are among the most successful pairings in the history of television. As a matter of fact, the pair effortlessly caught the hearts of many after they appeared in the 2016 series titled Descendants of the Sun. Since then, the duo has become household names and two of the most sought-after stars of their generation.

Before they tied the knot, romance rumors hounded Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's friendship. Avid followers of the South Korean superstars speculated that there is something romantic happening between them while filming the Descendants of the Sun series. At first, the pair denied the allegations and claimed that they are just good friends.

However, things changed when the Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo revealed their plans to get married in July 2017. Through their respective talent agencies, the duo also confirmed that they have been hiding their relationship from their fans and they even apologized for it. On October 31, 2017, the Descendants of the Sun stars finally exchanged their wedding vows in Shilla Hotel in Seoul City.

Prior to their big day, Song Joong Ki revealed something interesting about his relationship with Song Hye Kyo. In a promotional event for The Battleship Island, a reporter boldly asked the Descendants of the Sun actor if he and his then-girlfriend fights and argue often when they were still dating. The 32-year-old South Korean superstar did not answer the question directly but he said that whatever his ladylove says is always right.

HelloKpop shared Song Joong Ki also divulged, during the said event, that he had received bits of advice on marriage from his seniors. The Descendants of the Sun actor claimed he was told that he should listen to what Song Hye Kyo says because the ''wife is always right in marriage.'' He added that doing so will really help in maintaining a harmonious relationship between them and their family.

Song Joong Ki also said that he will do everything to protect Song Hye Kyo and their privacy. The Descendants of the Sun actor claimed that even though he and his sweetheart fight, he will not reveal it to the public. Meanwhile, Primadonna previously reported that the pair lived together with the actor's parents in Daejeon after their wedding. The entertainment news website shared that this is part of a Korean tradition.

The duo has been seen in public more often lately, however, the couple has yet to confirm if they will be making a TV return soon. Recent reports suggested that the Descendants of the Sun actor is already in talks for a new project called Asadal. However, nothing is finalized up to this writing.
