Former Super Junior Hangeng Revealed His Main Reason Why He Left The Group
Former Super Junior member Hangeng finally talks about his reasons why he left the Kpop group.
In 2013, he already talked about why he left the group. He said that he debuted to make money because he wants his parents to live a comfortable life. However, it didn't work out the way he wanted it to.
He was the first foreign celebrity to debut in Korea that time and there were so many restrictions. He couldn't film commercials and couldn't be a part of other events that are on their schedules. He lost hope, then. Things turned around when Super Junior-M debuted in China in 2008. He thought it was going to be different then because h was comfortable in China. However, his group maters don't speak Chinese and it was difficult for him to communicate with them.
On April 4 this year, he talked about the struggles he faced under SM Entertainment on Sina.
"Handsome, a good dancer, fresh, and had a lot of fans. An idol. That's what I was. The agency controls your image and wouldn't let you do the things you want. An idol must put the agency and the group ahead of yourself," he said.
He then said that this is the major reason why he left the group and the agency.
He even talked about secretly going to a law office then behind the agency's back during his free time to file a lawsuit against them.
The host of the show asked him if he doesn't care for the fans.
"I do need the fans but I didn't have much to offer them," he answered.
Hangeng wants to be an actor. And recently he posted a photo of his girlfriend, Celina Jade. They met during a Chinese film awards ceremony and that's when everything started.
With a flourishing romantic relationship and opportunities ahead for this former Kpop member, he is moving forward to new beginnings that is helping him transform his life the way he always wants it to. Today, he is an actor in China.
