'Playboy' Founder Hugh Hefner Laid To Rest In Peace
Hugh Hefner was laid to rest in Westwood Village Memorial Park, Los Angeles on September,30. The Playboy founder, who died on September 27, was bid adieu by in a private ceremony attended by family members and some playboy staffers.
According to TMZ, Hugh was cremated left to Marilyn Monroe. He bought the burial spot in the Corridor of Memories Mausoleum in 1992. The burial spot had cost him around $75,000. As per reports, Hugh was buried in his famous pajamas, cravat, smoking pipe and captain's hat in this private ceremony.
Once in an interview given to The Los Angeles Times, the Playboy owner said that he had many close friends buried in Westwood. "Spending eternity next to Marilyn will be too sweet to pass up", he said.
The renowned actress of "Rising Star" died in 1962 in her home in Brentwood. She appeared as the cover girl for the first issue of Playboy magazine. Many-a-times, Hugh was also heard saying that he and felt a double connection with the actress, as they shared same birthday year.
Westwood Park is also the resting place for other celebrities like Natalie Wood, Farrah Fawcett, Truman Capote, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Rodney Dangerfield quotes People. Dorothy Stratten, one of the friends of Hugh was also buried in this park.
Hugh Hefner died last Wednesday at The Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, California. He was 91 years old and is survived by four children- Christie, 64, David, 62, Marston, 27 and Cooper, 26.
