Saitama will not remain unbeatable for too long. Reports claim that Season 2 of "One Punch Man" will feature an adversary more powerful than the Japanese hero.

Although production of Season 2 has already started, not many details have been revealed about the next installment the popular anime series." One of the most popular rumors recently claims that "One Punch Man" will see its hero, Saitama, get defeated by a character named Sonic.

Geek.com reports that the latest issue of the "One Punch Man" manga seems to be the source of the rumors about Saitama's defeat. The manga, the publication reveals, features a scene wherein Sonic threw knives at Saitama. The new adversary's backstory showed that he was trained by Shinobi and, therefore, is a real threat.

The site also notes that Sonic might be eating Monster Cell which gives him the ability to become a monster himself. If true, then he might be even more powerful than everyone's favorite unbeatable hero. (He, however, has not transformed into a monster in the manga so far so this remains unconfirmed.)

According to the "One Punch Wikia," Sonic's most notable character is his speed and reflexes. As a ninja, he was trained to hide his presence. He is also very proficient with using different weapons as well as a master in hand-to-hand combat.

Another character who allegedly will finally defeat Saitama is Garou, the Human Monster and Hero Hunter. He has an extreme hatred for heroes and Saitama is definitely on his "kill list."

Garou definitely has the potential to be the first to kill the "One Punch Man." He is very strong: he was Bang's best disciple and he, at one point, overpowered an entire Tank Topper Army.

Saitama losing to an enemy would definitely shake the story up but, for now, all these rumors remain unconfirmed. Only time will tell if Sonic, Garou or somebody else will be able to defeat the hero. "One Punch Man" Season 2 will premiere in 2018.
