Ultimate Edition ‘Gears Of War’ Will Be Free To Some Users; Double XP Event Happening!
Ultimate Edition "Gears of War" owners will be able to get free "Gears of War" games, according to VG247.
"Gears of War" is a famous game franchise that has been frequent with the Xbox 360 console. It was only recently where the game franchise finally came to the PC platform and let other gamers try it out. Microsoft has also announced last time that anybody who has the ultimate edition of "Gears of War" between Aug. 25 and Dec. 31 will get the entire Xbox360 collection on the Xbox One console. These games can be played through the backwards compatibility feature.
If a gamer does not have a personal copy of "Gears of War 2," 3, and "Judgement" then he or she will have to wait until Dec. 1, according to GameZone. Those gamers who only got the ultimate edition will have to wait. The owners of that edition will have to play it once to get the free games on Dec. 1.
The owners who personally own the past game titles can play the games early on Nov. 12, according to sources.
There is also an event going on to celebrate the nine-year anniversary of the game series since its first release of the original game on the Xbox 360 console, according to Hardcore Gamer. The owners of the Ultimate Edition "Gears of War" will not be able to take advantage of this event in any multiplayer playlist, but the Warzone feature will be switched out for Classic: Execution. This is a mode that has ten rounds and only a five-second timer for the self-revive feature.
"We are also excited to share that we're working on updating our Playlist Map Rotations in the future, which we know has been a hotly requested feature in the community," said the game developer The Coalition. "We'll now be tailoring the map rotation to offer fan-favorite maps more often, and change the general overall order to keep things varied."
