SMTOWN LIVE World Tour VI Kicks Off In Seoul; F(x) Missing, Red Velvet Performs 'Red Flavor' Before Official Comeback
SM Entertainment finally kicked off its sixth SMTOWN Live world tour, starting off in Seoul. The said event was attended by thousands of fans and was full of highlights.
On July 8, SM Entertainment finally started the first leg of its SMTOWN LIVE World Tour VI in Seoul. The event was highly anticipated by avid fans because it has been three years since the SMTOWN Live concerts took place in South Korea. The huge concert was attended by 45,000 fans and various artists participated namely Kangta, BoA, TRAX, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, and NCT. Members Yunho and Luna performed alone to represent TVXQ and f(x) respectively.
SMTOWN LIVE World Tour VI consisted back to back performances of each group’s popular hit songs. Girls’ Generation performed Hoot, Party, Lion Heart, and Gee. Aside from their group performances, the concert also allotted solo stages for members Kim Taeyeon, Kim Hyoyeon, and Hwang Tiffany. The said group, known also as SNSD, talked about their upcoming comeback as well with member Choi Sooyoung teasing that they are excited to celebrate their 10th anniversary since debut.
One of the highlights of SMTOWN LIVE World Tour IV is Red Velvet unexpectedly performing their new song, “Red Flavor” just before their official comeback date. The said girl group geared up for the release of their new album, “Red Summer”. The new music video of “Red Flavor” and their album was released just today.
The SMTOWN LIVE World Tour IV concert in Seoul marked the return of TVXQ member Yunho. It was his first live performance since coming back from his military enlistment. Meanwhile, fans are quick to notice that f(x) did not participate in the said concert and they have expressed their disappointment. F(x) member Luna instead performed a solo stage of her song, “Free Somebody”. Super Junior also performed only with four members as Sungmin has opted out of the concert to respect the fans' wishes.
