Men who want to marry an anime character can now do so by wearing a VR headset and heading to Japan. Virtual Reality wedding seems to be shaping the future of wedding in the Japanese sub-culture.

Some anime enthusiasts can now marry the woman of their anime life inside a chapel in Japan. A virtual reality game called the "Nitzuma Lovely x Cation" which was made by the Japanese studio Hibiki Works offers three anime characters which have different characteristics and physical attributes, as reported by Interesting Engineering. Groom candidates can choose among three girls: Yuki Isurugi, an anime woman with black hair, Aiko Kurihara which sports a modern short brown haircut, and Nono Naruse which is a based on the blonde haired protagonist meta.

The wedding will be inside a real chapel in  Japan. The groom will be wearing an HTC Vive VR headset while doing the ceremony, as reported by Independent. Wedding photos were taken, but the groom needs to hold a cardboard cutting of the bride while he stands next to it. The wedding ceremony will end with a final kiss of the groom and the bride. While the boy wears the VR headset, someone will be holding fake rubber lips to make the kiss feel "realistic".

The maker of the game stated that the aim of this game is to help young men get more confident in having a relationship with other people, especially romantic relationships. It is also another way to make young men realize that being in a marriage and starting a family is a necessary step. Japan has been in the problem of dwindling population. Games like these, as well as dating games, are successful things in Japan as people usually doesn't have time for socializing because of rigorous work schedules.
