‘The Sims 4: Pets’ Updates: Game Producer Responds To Alleged Leaked Artwork Design
Avid "The Sims 4" players have been requesting game developer Maxis and game publisher Electronic Arts to reintroduce animal Sims to the said franchise. Recently, an alleged box art for "The Sims 4: Pets" DLC was leaked online that sparked speculations of the said game pack's impending release.
Earlier reports highlighted the appearance of a retail listing on a Slovakian online store for "The Sims 4: Pets." The said listing has since been removed, however, a similar product posting recently appeared on a Czech online video game store's website, Sims Community reported.
Unlike the earlier "The Sims 4: Pets" retail listing, the latest online product post included the alleged official box art for the said game pack. The image depicted a Sim couple enjoying quality time with four pets that include different breed dogs and cats. With the two Sims sitting on a loveseat and surrounded by their pets, two dogs adorably stayed beside their human companions as one cat lounged on the couch's backrest while another cat walked on the floor.
Apart from the alleged box art, the online retail posting also indicated that the said "The Sims 4" DLC is scheduled for release on Nov. 11. At this time, it is unclear whether game developers will indeed launch "The Sims 4: Pets" DLC towards the latter part of the year. Neither Maxis nor Electronic Arts commented on the said game pack's speculated deployment.
However, a member of "The Sims 4" recently debunked the validity of the said DLC's alleged artwork. SimGuruGraham took to Twitter shortly after news of the Czech retail listing went viral. He commented that the said box art design was fake and revealed how game designers would usually use new clothing and item assets to create the official renders of new packs.
One easy trick to spot a fake render... are the Sims wearing a bunch of old clothes? Then it's fake! #scammershatehim

Meanwhile, Maxis and Electronic Arts recently released the 11th stuff pack for "The Sims 4." Titled "The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff Pack," the said DLC introduced several new clothing pieces, decorative elements, exercise objects and a few gameplay feature to "The Sims 4." Some of the said new items include the rock climbing wall, ear buds, as well as new workout videos played on in-game TV sets, according to an announcement posted on the game's website.
"The Sims 4: Fitness Stuff Pack" was released on June 20 for the PC and MAC. Watch the teaser clip below:
