Several celebrities in the South Korean entertainment industry have been known to support various humanitarian organizations and even lend a helping hand to other people in need. Recently, Park Bo Young, Park Shin Hye and Han Ji Min were identified as the top three charitable Hallyu stars.

Park Bo Young landed a spot on the list of charitable actresses given the time and effort she spent in supporting causes to benefit less fortunate individuals. The actress even helped aspiring young actors and actresses in Vietnam for the past three years, according to Korea Portal. Beginning 2014, the "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" star has been visiting the said Asian country to participate in a mentorship program to encourage Vietnamese teens who dream of becoming the next big star.

Han Ji Min has also been busy helping other people in need by participating in fundraising activities and other humanitarian programs. For the past ten years, the "Rooftop Prince" actress has supported several campaigns to raise funds to help the poor such as the bi-annual charity event named the "JTS Street Fundraising Campaign" that happens every May and December.

Similar to Park Bo Young and Han Ji Min, Park Shin Hye also supported several worthwhile causes. The "Doctors" star is known to give financial assistance, as well as secret donations to organizations to help children in need or families affected by natural calamities and tragic incidents. In 2014, the actress secretly made a donation to the Sewol ferry disaster victims and also shelled out the same amount to help the individuals affected by the 2016 Seomun market fire.

Meanwhile, the proceeds of Park Shin Hye's 2017 fan meeting will also benefit hungry children or young people who need educational support. The actress partnered with the Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI), a charitable organization that named her as its goodwill ambassador since 2011, Yonhap News reported.

Park Shin Hye jumpstarted her 2017 fan meeting tour with a Hong Kong meet-and-greet held on June 10. The "Doctors" actress will then visit Taiwan and Thailand before heading off to the Philippines on July 28 for the final leg of her tour.
