“Produce 101” Season 2 recently unveiled its final 11 members that will debut in a new group. The Mnet show was flocked with controversy but the new boy group will push through. YMC Entertainment will be managing the new group and they have revealed their plans.
The final 11 members from “Produce 101” Season 2 will be debut in a new idol group called Wanna One. YMC Entertainment will be handling them for the whole duration of their promotions. The agency has revealed that they are gearing up the members to debut in early August. They will launch the group’s debut after they wrap up the finale concert for “Produce 101” Season 2, which will be held on July 1 and July 2. Their agency has revealed that Wanna One will focus on the finale concert first so that it will not hinder the other trainees.
YMC Entertainment added that they have already started collecting songs for the debut even before the winners were decided. However, they explained that they will be choosing songs based on the final 11 members. After the Mnet show’s finale concert, they will immediately start off with the making of the album. The final members of Wanna One will also embark on a busy schedule that centers on the recording, dance choreography training, and filming for the music videos.
Though YMC Entertainment has yet to confirm it, Wanna One is rumored to promote until December next year. However, the agency did confirm that the final members must focus only on the promotions and activities of Wanna One. It is said that the members who were already in other groups will only be able to partake in their original group’s promotions when Wanna One is done promoting and has disbanded. The group will move in together to their new dorm on June 18 and will have their first official schedule for a photo shoot on June 20.
