Mnet Call Center Agent Overwhelmed By Calls From ‘Produce 101 Season 2’ Fans

An anonymous netizen claiming to be a call center agent from Mnet recently aired his/her grievances against fans of the show 'Produce 101 Season 2'. The Mnet employee wrote a rather lengthy post detailing the daily struggles of talking to 'Produce 101 Season 2' fans on the phone.

On June 9, a long post from a certain Mnet call center agent was shared on online community Nate and immediately grabbed everyone's attention. In the post, the call center employee talked about the stress of talking to fans of 'Produce 101' on a daily basis and answering their never-ending questions. The employee first expressed his/her frustrations due to a number of fangirls calling in, saying, "Because of the accumulated stress I can't even sleep. As it says in the title, I'm an employee of Mnet call center. Of course, I'm an adult since I'm an employee. If you go on the main page of 'Produce 101', there's a call center number 1566-2226. I'm an employee of that call center."

The Mnet call center agent then said that as of late, calls from 'Produce101' viewers have significantly increased, most probably due to leaked spoilers regarding the trainee rankings that have been circulating the web prior to the June 9 broadcast of the survival program. The call center agent stated that while he/she understood the feelings and sentiment of loving celebrities, a number of calls have been overwhelming and too much to take.

The call center agent then listed the top 5 most frequently asked questions from 'Produce 101' fans and they are as follows: 1) What rank is this trainee? 2) If there are benefit votes, why do they not post a notice on the broadcast and process it without letting fans know? 3) Are the rankings listed a spoiler? 4) Why did my favorite trainee get eliminated? And 5) Why do you guys edit the show that way? Are you trying to kill this trainee?

According to the Mnet call center agent, he/she can only do so much to answer any of these questions, saying, "We are just employees of the call center. We are not the producers of 'Produce 101'. We cannot give a satisfying answer even if you call us."

The employee also further added that since they only have generic answers to such questions, they are often on the receiving end of curses and angry rants regarding the show. They are often cussed at, as rude fans let out their frustrations on Mnet's poor call center agents.

The Mnet call center agent then begged for fans to be nicer, and concluded the post by saying "We plan to take legal action if it continues to go overboard. I really don't want to go to work...I wish 'Produce 101' will come to an end soon."
