SM Entertainment Reveals Plans For Artists In 2017

SM Entertainment is going to be the busiest agency during the remainder of the year as evidenced by their plans for their artists. The company revealed the jam-packed schedule of their artists which include NCT, Red Velvet, EXO, Girls' Generation, Super Junior, and SHinee.

First up is their newest boy group NCT 127. According to SM Entertainment, NCT 127 is making a comeback this month and has recently wrapped up filming their new MV. The sub-unit of NCT debuted with 'Firetruck' last year and made a comeback with 'Limitless' earlier this year.

The next SM idol group is Red Velvet. Because the girls recently ended their promotions for 'Rookie', the members will be focusing on their appearances in dramas and variety shows. Seulgi is set to appear in 'Idol Drama Operation Team', while Joy will star in 'The Liar and His Lover'. There are no official plans announced yet for their comeback.

SM Entertainment reveals EXO's future plans as well. The boy group recently wrapped up their third successful world tour EXO'rDIUM at the Seoul Olympic Stadium, the largest concert venue in the country. EXO also announced that they will be having a summer comeback at the press conference during their final concert, revealing that their upcoming song has been finished already.

Meanwhile, Girls' Generation will be celebrating their 10th anniversary on August. According to SM Entertainment, the group plans to release an album that is said to commemorate their 10 years of being together. However, it hasn't been made official yet whether it will be an anniversary special or a new full album. Member Hyoyeon also confirmed that they are in the middle of preparing for a comeback this year.

Super Junior is also said to be making a comeback later this year, despite member Kyuhyun and Ryeowook recently enlisting in the military. However, members, Donghae, Eunhyuk, and Siwon will be discharged this summer and will reunite with the rest of the members to possibly make a comeback this fall. SM Entertainment has not released details yet on Super Junior's comeback plans. Last but not least, SHINee members will be busy doing dramas and variety shows. Key currently stars in a drama called 'Lookout', while Minho was recently cast as the male lead in an upcoming JTBC drama. The group also recently celebrated their 9th anniversary last May.
